1. How did Legalists believe government should keep peace among people?
Legalists believed rulers should use the legal system to force people to obey laws. They also believed the government must pass strict laws to control behavior. If they make wrong decisions or did something wrong they would be treated with harsh punishments. Shang yang, a supporter of legalism wanted to force people to report law breaker, he thought people who do not report people that are lawbreakers should be cut into two. Conclusion- because of all these conflicts, it stopped people from breaking laws, which caused peace among people.
2. What was the purpose of Confucius' five relationships?
Confucius thought a code of proper conduct also known as the five relationships. The five relationships fall into two categories. Family and proper conduct in society. Confucius believed good conduct and respect began at home. For example: wives had to agree to their husbands decisions and younger brothers had to follow older brothers wishes. This basically means respect.
3. What did Daoists believe about nature?

5. How might a Daoist respond to Confucius' teachings?
A Daoist wouldn’t hate Confucius’ teachings that much but they wouldn’t like it to much either. It might be different to them because they was no universal forces.
