3. What was the Peloponnesian League and who led it? The Peloponnesian League was like the same as Delosian League; it was group of city-States which was led by Sparta to get together if there is a problem or invasions. 4. Why did the Greek city-states lose power after the Peloponnesian War?] The reason Greek city-states lost power after the war was that, Sparta destroyed and burned all of the crops to cut supply of food, and also Spartans destroyed all the cities. They also suffered from loss of economy and military power. Si Hyun

1. How was the war strategy of Athens different from that of Sparta? Athens let the Spartans attack. Spartans were better at attacking by land. Pericles also thought they could attack better by sea so they wanted to avoid battles on land and to rely on sea power. Pericles let Sparta attack the countryside and kept all citizens inside the wall. He said they could rely on the sea for food. But later on that plan backfired and lead to Athens losing most of its people. 6. What might have helped the Greek city-states to be more cooperative at the end of the Peloponnesian War? Athens had to “fight” in a war in which they died from sicknesses. The Greek city-states could have joined together before and not let Athens fight alone. If the Greek city-states cooperated together then they could have rebuilt Athens and all live in peace. -Aleena

Also thousands of soldiers and Greeks died.

1. How was the war strategy of Athens different from that of Sparta? When the Peloponnesian War broke out, both city-states came up with a strategy to defeat their opponents. First, Sparta thought that surrounding the Athens, and cutting their food supply by destroying all their crops was a good idea. Pericles tried to make a better strategy, which was to avoid fighting in the land, instead fighting them with their strong navy. Pericles gathered all people in the city walls for their safety, and fed them seafood. This was never a bad strategy, although plague, a fearful disease killed so many of Athenian army and the people. Since people were crowded in Athens, plague spread fast, until Pericles, who died because of Plague. 6. What might have helped the Greek city-states to be more cooperative at the end of the Peloponnesian War? The weakened Greek city-states had enormous economic and military loss. The Greek city-states maybe cooperated to recover their losses, and also when they were weakened, there were high potential of getting invaded by other empires; so the city-states cooperated to be strong again. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
