1. What ideas or goods did China give the ancient world?
China discovered various ideas and goods during the time of the Silk Roads. One of the most important goods China traded was silk. Silk was a luxury fabric sought not only by China, but Western countries as well. China also spread ideas to the West. One of the most important discoveries was paper. Before they discovered paper people used very expensive silk to make paper, until a man discovered a mixture made of rags, bark, and a fiber from a hemp plant. Chinese agricultural discoveries such as watermills and wheelbarrows. These goods and discoveries also spread to the west over Silk Roads.
2. What economic changes did the Silk Roads bring to China? Some changes and goods brought to China from the West were Central Asian horses and gold. China didn't have mineral reserves so they required the Western countries to trade it for silk. The horses were adapted to military use and transport.
