1. How did the end of the Ice Age affect the way people lived? Global warming caused ice age retreat of ice age glaciers. This caused people to move to other regions with different environment. The temperature rose and growing season became longer. During this time humans learnt to grow and tend grass. This skill provided humans and animals, more grain and food to eat. 2. Compare the areas in which farming developed in Asia and Africa with those in which farming developed in the Americas. How were they different and similar? Early farming started where there were sufficient places of water like river valleys. African farmers used irrigation to water their crops. They started building irrigation systems like d**es and canals. Huang He and in china and Nile in Africa were among the first to use irrigation system. 3. How did agriculture change the way people lived together? In 8000 B.C. people got the idea of planting and raising crops. The agriculture revolution cause early humans to shift from food gathering to food rising. This brought many changes. Early humans made hoes to loosen the soil, sticks to dig holes, and sickles to harvest. When the soil became poor they would move to a different location. 4. What farming techniques was a part of the agricultural revolution? The farming technique that part of the agricultural revolution was the slash-and-burn method. They used this method to cut burnt trees and brush clear land for crops.

1. How did the end of the Ice Age affect the way people lived?
After Ice Age, early humans were able to move to new areas. Their harvest seasons became longer. They learned to domesticate, and able to grow and tend grass. This provided more food, to humans and animals.
2. Compare the areas in which farming developed in Asia and Africa with those in which farming developed in the Americas. How were they different and similar?
Farming first started in Africa, because of the Nile River, and its fertile soil. It attracted farmers to grow crops there. They irrigated water with d**es and canals. At Asia, there was River Huang He from China that worked same as Nile River. American farmers farmed in upland regions such as plateaus. They also found a way to adopt an environment, like terracing that provided crops like corn, beans, potatoes, and squash. They also developed new technologies.
3. How did agriculture change the way people lived together?
When agriculture came along, people would no longer have to move so often. With the skill of growing crops, they had enough food supply, which allowed people to have a more permanent home; instead of moving continuously after prey.
4. What farming techniques were a part of the agricultural revolution?
Slash-and-burn was used to clear the land of old crops to make room for a new harvest. So people cut the crops and burned trees and cleared the land. But after many years of slash-and-burn the soil eventually loses its nutrients, which leads to a poor harvest.

1. The end of the Ice Age helped humans a lot. For one when the Ice Age ended some areas that were covered in ice became land so people could move to new areas like Russia and the Americas. Also plants began to grow a lot more, and people learned to grow and tend wild grass, which gave them more grain and allowed them to raise animals for meat.
2. Farming in Africa and Asia was very different than farming in the Americas. The first difference is that in Africa and Asia they usually farmed in river valleys where the land is most fertile, but in the Americas they farmed on hills and used a farming method called terrace farming. They also grew different crops. In America they grew potatoes and corn. In Asia and Africa they grew rice and wheat. There are not many similarities between farming in the two areas.
3. Agriculture changed the way people they people lived a lot. Agriculture allowed people to live together because farming gave them more food and they didn’t have to keep moving all the time to gather food. Because people settled it allowed them to build better houses because they could stay in one place. All that food allowed thousands of people to live together because farming gave them enough food to support a lot of people. They also didn’t have to abandon babies and elderly people because they usually always had enough food.
4. Many farming techniques were discovered during the Agricultural Revolution. One of them was irrigation. Irrigation is when people dig canals into rivers and make the canals go to the crops to supply them with water. Another was the hoe. The hoe allowed people to dig holes and stuff for crops. Those are two of many farming techniques discovered during the Agricultural Revolution.
