Welcome Back, Sparta!
This is the last discussion forum before our Fall Break. Complete these questions to the best of your abilities. You can use your notes to help you.
1. How did the end of the Ice Age affect the way people lived? As the ice age ended temprature rose. And as the tempretrature rose they had longer seasons which made people domesticate plant, which gave them more food to eat.
2. Compare the areas in which farming developed in Asia and Africa with those in which farming developed in the Americas. How were they different and similar?
Amercia started farming much later than Asia, and Africa. Americans used techniques. For example, terracing off land, which adapted crops, such as corns, beens, potatoes, and squash.
3. How did agriculture change the way people lived together? People started living near in river valleys, or near water resources, where they had fertile soil, and water which helped them to farm easier and produce more.
4. What farming techniques were a part of the agricultural revolution? They used irrgation system, which helped water to get to the plants by using the help of d**es and canal. They also practiced the skill, “Slash-and-burn,” which was burning the places with unused plants and trees so they get enough land to domesticate crops.

1. How did the end of the Ice Age affect the way people lived?
When the Ice Age ended, early humans could go to new land and live there. They could also domesticate wild grass for raising livestock.
2. Compare the areas in which farming developed in Asia and Africa with those in which farming developed in the Americas. How were they different and similar?
Farming developed in the Americas after most of the world had. Asia and Africa were one of the first places to develop agriculture. Asia and Africa relied on river valley like, Nile in Egypt, and the Huang He in China. In the Americas, farming developed on high elevations. The terraced the land to raise more crops like corn, beans, potatoes, and squash.
3. How did agriculture change the way people lived together?
They had a balanced diet and they could cooperate more. When villages hunted together, they got more food which lead to, as we said before, a balanced diet. It also made it easier to make tools to harvest crops.
4. What farming techniques was a part of the agricultural revolution? Early humans had many techniques for farming. One of them was slash and burn. Slash and burn is basically what the name says. First farmers slashed, or cut the trees, and the burned them for their wood. A disadvantage is that after doing that many times, the soil lost its nutrients. A big thing during the agricultural revolution, was the agriculture part itself. Early farmers found techniques to plant seeds itself.

1. How did the end of the Ice Age affect the way people lived?
When the Ice Age ended the soil was fertile so people were able to farm. Also, around 9000B.C. people were able to domesticate animals such as sheep and goats which gave the people shelters, clothing, harthingys, needles, and other tools. Also, people were able to move into new areas.
2. Compare the areas in which farming developed in Asia and Africa with those in which farming developed in the Americas. How were they different and similar? They both grew different ingridients and they had different techniques. For example, in the Americas they developed techniques that suited the environment.
3. How did agriculture change the way people lived together? Agriculture brought changes to tools and technology. So, people could have different jobs, such as some people were farmers, some hunters, some gatherers, and some shepards.
4. What farming techniques were a part of the agricultural revolution?
Farmers used the slash – and – burn technique. The slash – and – burn technique had its advantages and its disadvantages. A disadvantage was that after doing the slash – and – burn technique many times, the soil lost its nutrients.
