1. For food ancient people used to hunt wild animals. The animals provided a constant food supply, but people had to keep moving to keep up with the herds of animals. Animals were also used for clothing and shelter. People used to use animal skins as clothing. They also used skins to drape over branches and sticks for shelter. Another resource used was plants. People used to gather edible wild plants to eat. They also might have used trees as shelter.
2. The development of tools greatly improved human life. For example, the control of fire gave them light and warmth so they could live in cold places. It also allowed them to cook food, which gave them more food choices. Another example is weaponry. Advanced weapons, like the bow and arrow, allowed them to hunt more animals and defend themselves from other groups of hominids. The development of tools also led to the availability of making more advanced tools which led to the technology we have today.
3. Cave Art was different because it was drawn on the walls of caves. It was also compiled mostly of animal. There were barely any people in the Cave Art. It is also probably connected to a basic religion of ancient people. The paintings are done to honor the spirits of the animals that they hunt.
4. It shows us that ancient people used to hunt a lot of animals. It also shows us that ancient people had some sort of basic religion. It shows us that they honored animals that they hunted. The paintings also show us that ancient people were getting smarter because they were developing art which is not a survival need.

1. How did prehistoric people use available natural resources for food, housing, and clothing? Prehistoric people were very dependent on the natural environment for food, housing, and clothing. They use rocks to build shelter and animals skins to keep them warm during climate changes. They use wood to properly prepare meals so that their bands can make sure their food is safe and properly made.
2. How did the development of tools change the life of early humans? The development of tools changed the life of early humans because since they developed advanced tools they can properly hunt the animals and slice them. Since, they have more advanced tools they could separate the jobs into different genders. For example, the man hunted and fished and the woman and the children gathered berries, nuts, and wild plants; and took care of their children.
3. How was cave art different from other kinds of art created by early humans? Cave art was different from other kinds of art created from early humans because while the cave art was painted on caves, other kinds of art could be portable such as jewelry and figures. Another type of art could have religious meanings behind it, such as dancing or stories.
4. What does their art tell us about early humans? Cave art tells us about early humans because they have meanings behind the drawings. They showed that they respected the animals they hunted. They show that they have religious beliefs and they also show what kind of animals; like bison, bulls, and stallions. They also show the tools to hunt them. When archaeologists look at these cave art pictures they can investigate what types of paint early people used.
